Governor Ralston has certified to Atty. Gen. Honan reports from State Board of Accounts, charging Albert F. Smutzer, sheriff of La-porte county during 1905-’08 with illegal retention of $3,515.54 during his term. The amount is due La-porte county, reports allege.because of long list of fees of all sorts retained.
