Jury Actionliy tIk- Superior Court atKeokuk.1 Keokuk Constitution - Democrat, February 20: George Veiser, whowas released from the penitentiary at Fort Madison on November 13 last, is again staring the prison walls in the face, and his fate lies with ithe grand Jury, to whom he has been bound over. He was arraigned in i the superior court this morning,I charged with assault with intent toC ommit murder, and was bound over |, to the grand Jury, his bond being $500.Veiser went into a pool room run by Wittich and was dancing to the music of an electric piano, when Wittich ordered him out. He refused to go and Wittich took hold of him j to put him out and he struck Wittich in the face and drew a long, danger- : ous looking knife and made several i passes at Wittich. There were many i| witnesses to the affair and the jI charges were lodged against him. lt;j This morning his trial came up lie- lt;j fore Judge McNamara, tin; in forma- \ tion charging him with assault with 1 J intent to murder having been pre- j ferred against him. He was bound lt;over to the grand jury on a bond of $500. j 1Other barges have been preferred I j against Yelser in Judge Landes’} court, that of resisting an officer, andhe was arraigned yesterday and the 'judge lias bound him over on $250 lt;bond. !
