Circuit Judge Arthur L. Luebke stayed the six month county jail sentence of Harrv Olson, 48, Monroe, in Green Countycircuit court Tuesday afternoon, pending an appeal to the Wisconsin State Supreme Court The appeal was filed by his attorney, Gregory Knoke, of the Monroe law firm of Regez, Callahan and KnokeLuebke sentenced Olson yesterday morning tc six months in the local jail inconnection with a two car collision June 16 that resulted in the death of two teenaged Monroe girls, Cheryl Dalen and Debra Golackson Olson had been found guilty of the charges by a 12 member jury. The sentences are to be concurrent.The prosecuting attorney, Melvin Washington, acting Green County District Attorney, had argued that Olson be placed in the Green County jail immediately, pending filing ah the necessary papers foran appeal.Olson yesterday, signed a recognizance bond of $5,000, raised from his original signature bond of $2,500.The Monroe man had entered not guilty pleas to the charges of homicide by the intoxicated use of a vehicle. Involved is the two-car collision on Haddinger and Richland Town Roads, south of Monroe Dennis Timm was the driver of the other car in the accident.Maximum penalty for each charge is five years imprisonment, a fine up to $2,500, or both.
