REVEALSPRISONSECRETIt is said that because a youngman who is (unjustly, he claims) injail charged with chicken stealing,thought ho had been treated unfairly !by bis fellow prisoners, whom he al- ileges, took his coffee, etc., the plot |I to break jail was given away, and j thus led to the failing of the plotters’ schemes. This young man decided to t . have revenge and when his sister call ed to see him the day before, he unfolded the plans to her and she took pains to see that the authorities were made wise. It is said the saws, etc., were smuggled into the jail by a man from another State, ten dollars in money was sent to one of the prison-i er8, and a big touring car was to be in waiting as soon as the prisoners had sawed their way to liberty. Although the above young man was originally in the plot, yet for strategic reason, it was thought best to havg him securely locked in his cell the night the get-away was to be made.
