(UPD — The body of Winthrop Rockefeller was cremated at a funeral home here Friday and the ashes were to be taken home to Arkansas, the adopted state he governed for two terms.The 60-year-old grandson of oil tycoon John D. Rockefeller died of cancer Thursday at Desert Hospital in Palm Springs, where he had a winterhome.In accordance with Rockefeller’s own wishes, his ashes were to be buried on Petit Jean Mountain, where he built his $1.5 million home. A public memorial service was planned there, sometime in the next few days.His son, Winthrop Paul Rockefeller, who was at his father’s side when he died, has already returned to Arkansas to make arrangements for the services.dai du wonn
