J. Fromiin Shoot* Hi* Wife and inflicts Fatal ]Barles on Bimtolr.Maysville. iMo.. Feb. 21.—Last ni^ht at 9 o’clock the citi;(eDs near the house occupied by Mrs. J. Froman were .startled by hearing- two report? of a jifun, and on entering the house a ghastly sight met their vie w. Froman had shot hia wife. She, trying to ward off the g\in, received the load In her right hand and breast, almost •severing Uie liand.He then placed the muzzle of the gun close to his abdomen and worked the lock with his foot, receiving the-entire load in his body. He will die, but the woman may recover. She says that he pulled off hi.s shoes and stole into the house from the rear and commenced to abuse her, and wh^n she pleaded with him to go he seized the gun, swearing he would kill her, with the aboyo result. She had refused to live with him on ho-count of his ill treatmo'nt.
