Of the Female Variety Wantedin Duluth.MINNIE ALLEN, THE KIDNAPER.She Is th*» He ail af a Dangerous Gang That Is Infesting: the Cities of the Northwest — Her Aides Located Through- j out Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan, •iChild Stealers.Duluth, Feb. 20.—1The police of manynorthwestern cities regard, Minnie Allen as one of the most dangerous feminine criminals at liberty, and the Duluth police have learned that she has organized a gang of remarkable proportions, with the center of the operations either in Duluth or Superior.Minnie’s aides are located in nearly every city of any size in northern Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan, and the police do not know how extensivethe ramifications of the gang are.Some of the cleverest work ever done in this part of the country is attributed to her scheming, and the wholesale burglaries that have taken .place in the northern country in the last two months have made the police desperate, and 9very possible effort is being made to break up the gang.Minnie Allen is a slightly built* red-haired woman, about 30 years old, of ex-eellent presence.She has been all over the country, even as far north as Alaska, but at present is supposed to be somewhere in Duluth.Recently the gang has been kidnaping young boys and girls, and the Duluth police, who expect to close on the woman in, a few days, say that she has with her nbw a boy and a girl kidnaped from Muskegon, Mich,The stealings of the gang in the last year are estimated to amount to nearly $60,000.
