Saur said Phillips broke into a Hillside road home on April 22 after forcing a kitchen window and ' ’ took a television set and a couple of hundred dollars in cash.On May hi, Mr. Saur conUnu* • ed, Phillips, who has no previous criminal record, broke into a Ridgeview avenue home and took $70 and a pair of trousers. Phillips was arrested in June by authorities in Westchesler county for a series of crimes.While questioned on the alleged New York crimes, which were later dismissed, Phillips admitted the Connecticut burglaries, Mr. Saur recommended a suspended prison term.Public Defender Herbert J. Bundock, who represented Phillips, concurred in the recommendation and said the defendant had learned his lession during the period he has been confined here and in Westchester awaiting disposition of the charges against him.In other cases in which the defendants had previously pleaded guilty.
