Must ReturnNine ChildrenDES MOINES SP — A District Court order has been issued directing the Children's Christian Training Home at Boone to move out the children kept there or get a state boarding home license.The home is operated in conjunction with Boone Biblical College, a fundamentalist religious organization. Presently there are 9 children from the age of 2 to 16 years at the home.★ ★ ★The State Department of Social Welfare’s child welfare division requested a court injunction against the home last spring and District Judge H. C. Nichol ofAmes granted the injunction last week.The state, in November, 1955, charged Miss Lois Crawford, president of the Biblical College and children's home, with operating a children’s boarding home without a license. That charge was dismissed when no one appeared to prosecute the case.★ ★ ★The District Court injunctionwas issued after children’s home officials failed to contest it.Named in the injunction were the Children’s Christian Training Home, Miss Crawford and four persons identified as directors of the organization—Nellie Workman, Mina B. Green, John Heckart and Donald M. Stanton.They were ordered to return the children to the parents or guardians and not to receive childrenfor care without first obtaining license.
