WANTED $1,000,000 ONA BOGUS CHECK TODAYi .VWilliam Adams Placed in Jail Today. Because of Unsound Mind*Prom Monday's Bally.William Adams was placed in the#county jail this morning to await a hearing before an insanity board. He was found going about town with a check signed by Isaac Anderson and calling for one million dollars, which he was trying to cash. He tried to get the money of Charles Sindlinger, but Charles did not have that much change lying around, and he then tried several other men with the same result.’He had been sleeping in the shop of Cliff Williamson, but his'actions had been so strange of late that Mr. Williamson was afraid he would injure some one and he called the sheriff this morning and had him taken, in charge. When the sheriffgot him this morning he was told byAdams that Just as soon as he got his check cashed he intended to get a lhrge diamond for James Fleming. He said that he had received the check from Europe a few days ago.
