Perlr Hiett, of Denver and Tulsa; sajd by police to have admitted jiving for 16 years on money obtained by cashing worthless checks, were held here today on forgery charges.Police said Hit And his wife said they had cashed worthless checks ina score of states. ,Hiett. who is crippled, his wifeand two children were traveling in an expensive car driven by a Negro chauffeur. After his arrest here a “hold order” was filed by the-government.Hiett is charged with dteposing-of a mortgaged car in Portland. Ore.
