A white man, named Allen, married a negro woman in Corpus Christi, Texas, j on the night of the 18th ult., and the Ad-[ vertiser says: “Allen’s ‘friends,9 we understand, did not relish the joke much, A number of Company B., Tenth Infantry, (Allen formerly belonged to that I company,) paid him their respects by painting him black, greasing him so he would shine, and afterward throwing him into the bay, We understand ho has turned up missing,”
