He contends he didn’t know Ms. Edwards.rAuthorities say his fingerprints were found on the glasspatio door in Ms. Edwards’apartment.On Tuesday, Dr. Richard Coons, a forensic psychiatrist from Austin, and Dr. Linda Norton, a forensic pathologist from Dallas, testified that the mutilation of the victim’s face was consistent with killings in which the victim knew the murderer personally.Coons and Ms. Norton said evidence showed the killing had the characteristics of a domestic-type homicide.Coons said, “In terms of the scene, the thing that jumps out at you is the anger. It’s the number of blows, types of blows ... it’s overkill in my judgment.”
