Sentencing March 16—Marturano Pleads GuiltyManslaughterIndictmentSyracuse Woman's DeathSYRACUSE (Special) - PaulDavid Marturano, 28, formerly of Oswego, pleaded guilty to an indictment charging manslaugh-ter first degree late this morning in Onondaga County Court, less than two hours after agrand jury had handed downthe indictment in the death of Mrs. Teresa Hush, 26.The grand jury had reduced the charge in the indictment from murder, for which he was originally charged by local police following discovery of her partJy-clad body face down in the bloody bathtub in her 214 Putnam St. apartment lastThursday,The former Oswegoman testified voluntarily for 45 minutes before the grand jury Monday and waived a preliminary hearing scheduled for Tuesday.County Judge Thomas Alai set sentencing for March 16 and remanded Marturano to the Public Safety Building without bail. He has been held there since his arrest on Friday.In court this morning Marturano, under intensive questioning by the Onondaga County jurist, admitted that he had beaten and kicked Mrs. Rushdurine a nuarrel in her homewas still an employe but Marturano had recently left that firm. He moved into the downtownSyracuse YMCA at 4 30 a. on Thursday morning, policeinvestigation disclosed. He formerly resided at a Fitch St. address,Marturano now faces a maximum prison term of 25 sears, authorities here stated today.Hp admitted guilt to a Class B felony indictment.In Oswego County he has two assault convictions and one attempted jail break conviction onhis criminal record. Police said that in 1965 he was acquitted of murder charges in the strangulation death of \iss Tana M. Pnspesel, 18, of New Haven, whose body was found frozen under a car by a passing student just east of E. Third St. His trial on tAehomicide indictment was held at Lowville, Lewis County, in a change of venuemove.Mrs. Bush s death was ruled aihomicide and asphyxiation was given as cause of death by Dr. ‘Martin J.
