Powers Placed In AreaMIAMI (UPI) A bartender testified today at the Mossier murder trial that co-defendant Melvin Lane Powers was in a lounge at the entrance to the causeway to Key Biscayne about an hour before the stab-slaying of Jacques Mossier onthat residential island.The witness was the 52nd In the state’s attempt to send the strapping, dark Powers, 29, and Mrs. Candace Mossier, his 45-year-old aunt and Mossler’s widow, to the electric chair.With this testimony in the 23rd trial day. the state took the alleged weapon-wielder.
