After the encounter, HJbhl is accused of taking their one year old child and carrying it away. Mrs, Haehl spent -the greater part of today consulting attorneys and other representatives of the law, seeking advice upon the best Method of obtaining possession of her child. It is understood that Haehl. who la employed at the saloon of William Fleming, is still in the city.Mrs. Mohr, a neighbor of the Haehls said chc-went into the Haehl house Immediately after the light and found Mrs. Haehl lying lt;Jn the floor with the Mood streaming from her head, where, she declared, she had been struck »by her husband with a [stove poker. Mrs. Haehl also assert-that her arro had beeu broken by a blow from the poker. As Haehl left the house with the chltd in his arras he said, according to Mrs. Mohr, ll\ guess I have fixed her this time.1’ The fight between Haehl and his wife is said to have resulted from a qimrrel of long standing, in which Haehl. has had grievances on his side ot the case. It is thought Mrs. Haehl will take proceedings toward getting possession of her child. In case she cannot do that she will probably cause the arreat of her husband on a criminal charge.Haehl declares his wife attacked him with a butcher knife while Intoxicated. •
