Claude Coolman, who was convicted of murder at Columbia Citv aud re* turned to prison for a ion term secured a new trial, and by agreement plead guilty to manslaughter and was given a sentence from two lo twenty-oue years in the Jeffersonville reform-utory. It will be remembered that he shot a Whitley county farmer who ob-jeeled to him as a suitor fur his stepdaughter.
