Was wanted by locnl police.Merely a strategic move launched by Captain Malloy to get the “inside story of why a pair of stick-up artists should select a comparatively small and obscure bakery, when rnuch more profitable stick-ups could Me pulled within a stone's throw of vthe establishment, they discovered that the rear rooms of the bakery were being used as a gamblers’ rendezvousQuestioning of three meh, Walker, who surrendered to police authorities when he discovered that he was wanted; Frank Schmitt, husband of the murdered woman; and Charles Schmitt, a brother, revealed that the latter pair were heavily involved in the dice games.Schmitt Tells AllAlthough Frank Schmitt only rented his back room for $10 a week, he admitted that he played the games and was a heavy loser.
