NEGRO HOUSES SHOT INTO.A considerable stir has been created on route six, Gainesville, on the Hovv-^ ington place by some persons, as yet unknown to the officers of the law, shooting into the houses of some negro tenants on this place. The shooting occurred Thursday night of last week, and the negroes were, ,of eourso, much perturbed. Investigation is being made of the affair by officers of the law. It is generally supposed that the shooting was done with the intent of making the negroes leave the community rather than doing them any bodily harm. i
