Feb. 11. The steamer Warrimoo arrived here Saturday night from Honolulu, bringing news of happenings there up to February 3. Onboard the Warrimoo were three men who have been exiled by the Hawaiian government for participation in the recent rebellion. They are J. Cranston, A. Muller and J. B. Johnston. Mr. Cranston, upon arrival here sent for the American consul. He intends placing his case In the hands of the American authorities and will seek redress for the expulsion of Muller, Johnston and himself.i May lie Spared.Six of the rebels have been sentenced to death for complicity in the recent uprising. The general belief in Honolulu, however, was that no capital punishment would be meted out to the rebels, the tirst hot feeling of resentment against the disturbers having passed away and given place to one of mercy and moderation.Objects to Interference.The Advertiser of January 31 pointedly animadverted upon the impropriety of foreign representatives interfering with local political a if airs and by their interposition embarrassing the aetion of the new government. Within a few days much resentment has been expressed about some interference of this nature whichhas recently come to light. We protested to the American minister against such aetion, but he seemed to take the ground that they h ut a a right to do so.'*Sentenced to Be Killed.February 2 Messrs. Cranston, Miller and Johnson were taken before the attorney general and the marshal and told that they were to be put aboard ti e steamship W arrimoo, which would leave in an hour. Thin the authorities in charge refused to do. The three men were taken to the wharf in a hack. Cranston refused to leave the hack, and wan taken from itand placed aboard the W arrimoo by force. While this was being done, however, the British commissioner appeared, and at thj requestor Johnston, sent for American Consul Millsand Min*o(AIKvCl!or oftodi hiIzei(HIjoined in requesting President Dole to reprieve the British and Americans supposed to be under sentence of death until such a time as their respective governments could I be communicated with and instructions received as to the course of action they should pursue. President Dole has not yet replied to this request, and it is not positive that the capital sentences will be carried out.Liliuokubtnrrt Trial.The trial of the ex-queen has probably already occurred. The charges and specifications were served upon her on January 31, and the trial was set forister W illis. I pon the circumstances being made known to him Minister W illis agreed to do all he could in the matter, but asked Cranston first if he had had anything to do with the revolution. Cranston denied any knowl-edge of the affair, either directly or indict ly, and that he did not know why he had been arrested. Mr. W illis went away and returned shortly ; with the information that the marshal had told him there were charge \ ! against him and that the proof was conclusive. Cranston again entered a denial and protested his innocence of any participation in the revolution, and his words were taken down by Consul Mills, Cranston signed the writtenstatement and made atti lavit as to its truth before Minister W illis. The latter said he would make every endeavor to have the sentence recalled. Tho prisoners were then taken aboard the Warrimoo which sailed at onee.hajr They Will Itetum.Mr. Muller and Mr. Jonhston make statements corroborative of Mr. ( Vans ton.
