A stream of Gausman-forged checks in New Orleans totaling $900 crowned Gausman's Louisiana visit and he is still at large. Since that time, he is known to have been in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and Iowa. 'l-Gausman completed high school, but poses as a man of higher education.
