The grey-haired woman shouted, “Chase him, chase him,” according to Marlowe.The two youths then pursued the fleeing boy for about two blocks before he was stopped and gave up on Yellowstone Park Drive.San Jose CHP U HughHenney said Oliver, who joined the patrol in July 19B3, was certainly one of our finer officers and was a gocd family man, This is very hard for me to understand. Oliver was just a good ordinary officer.”The victim had been on special court duty for the C.HP for the past four years. Prior to joining the CHP, he reportedly had worked for a bakery.The victim also has a daughter, about 13, who is attending San Jose State College.Present during the shooting were Oliver’s wife and mother, police said.
