Son in custody in officer slayingFREMONT — A 41-year-oSd San Jose highway patrolman described by friends as “a good family man” was slain in his Fremont home last night by a shotgun blast in the face.His 14-year-oid son Rodney was in custody today at juvenile hall in San Leandro.Police Cap?, Harry Heyen, head of the operations division, said Jack T.
