Bowie ManGets 10 YearsFoi(Scott McGahe, Bowie laborer, was sentenced to 10 yearsf in the penitentiary by a jury which found him guilty cf murder in connection with the death of Charlie Hunter in Bowie, earlv in December. The jury which had been out since 5 o'clock Tuesday afternoon returned its verdict at 10:15 o'clock Wednesday morning. McGahe's attorneys indicated that a new trial motion wouldbe filed.Hunter s body was found beneath a railroad trestle, near Bowie on the morning of Dec. 8, after he had been missing since the afternoon of Dec. 1. McGahe was arrested a few hours after the body was located and made a statement to officers, which was read into the record inthe trial.McGahe was a roomer at the Hunter home and testimony introduced at the trial showed that the two men were drinking and engaged in a quarrel on the afternoon of Hunter's disappearance.
