Minnie Carey is the boy's mother. The lengthy trial, concerning who was the father, will be remembered. Constable Leary, who had the boy in charge to convey to the Orphans’ Home, was smb-jected to some good humored chaff when he took the boy to his home on Ferry street to await a train. Constable Leary has been married 14 years, and no olive branch blesses the home. His neighbor, Matthew Dunn, seeing the constable with a bouncing two year old boy, congratulated him 011 his success in life and complimented the baby.
