Jessie Evans was wounded, teceiving a shot in the groin. Another of the banditti was wounled in the shoulder. The wound is not serious. Evans and hiacompanions escaped, and he is now being cared for by u confederate 11 is whereabouts is known. The M xi-cans escaped unhurt.
