The H imtlHIWe have the following from a reliable source: On Saturday lust Jessie Evans and two of his gang stoic a band of horse e from the lower Mimbres; the thieves were followed by three Mexicans residing at that place, and were overtaker, not far from Lloyd,s ranch on the road from Fort Cummings to Santa B-irbara, j About forty shots were exchanged, a number of the horns were killed n! lt;1 two belonging to the thieves together with u Winchester rifle, were captured. Jessie Evans was wounded, teceiving a shot in the groin. Another of the banditti was wounled in the shoulder. The wound is not serious. Evans and hiacompanions escaped, and he is now being cared for by u confederate 11 is whereabouts is known. The M xi-cans escaped unhurt.
