DISTRICT COURT TO CONVENEFebruary Term Begins Next Monday With Judg’e McCall on the Bench.20 NEW CASES ARE FILEDThere Are Several Divorce Cases That Will Be Considered at This Term of Court.I District court for the' February term will convene at the courthouse here in Eldora on next Monday, witli Judge McCall presiding and W. S. Weston reporter.The docket is not quite as large as usual, there being six state cases, 20 new cases filed and some 140 old ones on the docket. There are 36 probate cases and 7 wills, that will be up for consideration. The grand jury is called for Monday afternoon of the 11th, but the petit jury will come for work the next day, February 12. The list of names drawn for petit jury service will be found on page 3 of this issue.There are several divorce cases that will be considered at this term.Mrs. Nellie McLain has filed a petition in the district court asking a decree of divorce from her husband, Clarence McLain, alleging cruel and inhuman treatment. Mrs. Effie Gordon is asking the district court to grant her a divorce from her husband, William Gordon, alleging cruel and inhuman treatment. Luema Hife asks that the district court grant her release from the bonds of matrimony now existing between herself and George Hife, alleging cruel and inhuman treatment on the part of the defendant.P. M. Wheeldon is the plaintiff ir an action brought for the February term of court in this county in which he asks $3,000 of I. D. Gibbs, alleging that amount due the plaintiff in damages because of injuries received when the defendant is claimed to have struck plaintiff over and about the head with what is known as a cant-hook, an instrument used in the moving of heavy logs in the timber.
