“Mike de Pike” Quits Burr Oak; Sells Cafe“Mike de Pike’^Heitlcr, who for ; more than a year has conducted the notorius “Wigwam’’ cabaret at 119th and Wood Stieets., Burr Oak, has sold his establ'siiment and has left the village.The new proprietor is said to be one Abraham Weinstein, of Chicago. According to reports from Burr Oak,Weinstein has declared that he will operate the place as a “legitimate cabaret.”The “Wigwam,” formerly known as the Burr Oak Inn, has figured prominently in police records for j many years. Under “de Pike’s” regime it was a rendezvous for immoral women and was twice raided by the police in the last few months. Both raids netted men said to be automobile thieves.Heitler is expected soon to leavefor Cuba.
