John Kolbe, who is well known in that part of the city, got lull of bad whiskey on the night in question, and declared war. Not being able to find a “foeraan worthy of his steel,” he went homo and commenced an onslaught on his wife after the latest impaoved style of an Evansville wife-whippor. This did not exactly agree with Mrs. Kolbo’s ideas, and the consequence was a two handed fight was the result. While the row was going on James Whitten and Ed. Conner, sons-in-law ter Mrs. Kolbe, came in and bounced a few brickbats over Kolbe’s head, prostrating that belligerent individual, and placing him hora de combat. The result was a mutual srgreement on th^part of the Kolbe family to separate, and with a *view to this determination, the household furniture was divided. During the night some incorrigible thief or thieves entered the house and removed every piece of the dividedKolbe, finding he had the worst of the affair, made complaint against Whitten and Conner, charging them with striking him with bricks. Whitten plead .guilty to ttfe charge and paid $7 00. Conner will have a hearing to-morrow.Singular Accident—The Body of a Dead Man Found In the ILouieville Courthouse Yard—The Coroner** Inquest;Yesterday morning one of the men engaged at the Louisville Courthouse in cleaning up, discovered the body of a man lying tjjxm the brick pavement of the yard, di-fectly below the platform at the bead of the main steps leading into the building. Upon a close examination it wu- found that he was dead, and Coroner Dick Moore was called upon and held an Inquest.No one was able to identify the stranger, whoever he might be.
