Chanute murderer gets life in prisonCHANUTE — A man convicted of killing an assistant manager at a Chanute grocery story during a robbery has been sentenced to life in prison.Christopher A. Davisson, 28, of Chanute, pleaded guilty in November to the 1999 murder of Judd L. Gossett, 24.Davisson was sentenced Friday to life for the felony murder conviction, 20 Vz years for aggravated kidnapping and five years for aggravated robbery. He must serve 45 years before he is eligible for parole.District Judge Tim Brazil said he based the sentence on the details of the crime.
