His partner in the crime was John McLaughlin, and indicted for the same oflFense. Wasson was also in company with one Jerrv Lewis, the murderer of Almerine Watkins, a wealthy stockman, and it was (be reward offered by Watkins’ widow that led to the arrest of Wasson and Lewis. Lewis is now in jail al Tish omingo, I. T.Joseph Jackson is a negro, who killed his wife on March 9th last at Skullvvilie.Robert Wolf, colored, killed another negro named Stockbridge.Meridith Crow will hang for the murder ef Cub Courtney.Luce Mammon, one Wiley, and He-Wah-Nuck-ee, three half-civilized Creek Indian boys, were convicted on December 4th last of murdering a white man named Owens.Robinson Kemp, an intelligent Chickasaw Indian, and his step-son, Edmond .Jefferson, were arrested about a year ago for killing a white man named Henry Rich.
