sked robber gets cash, cigarettes from gas station in ItascaBy Steve WarmbirDailv Herald Staff Writer%A masked gunman showed a clerk what looked like a .22-caliber revolver then stole about $100 and several packs of cigarettes from an Itasca gas station Sunday night, police said.No one was injured in the robbery, which happened about 9:12 p.m. at a Speedway gas station, 1349 W. IrvingPark Road, Sgt. Mike Harrison said.The armed robber walked into the gas station, took a blue steel revolver partly out of his bluejean jacket pocket and demanded money from the cashier, police said.The gunman stuffed the money into his pockets and told the cashier, a 30-year-old Itasca man, to rip the phone out of the wall, police said. The cashier fumbled with the phone,so the robber pulled it out. Police said the gunman then took some packs of cigarettes off a rack and then ran west down Irving Park Hoad.Police said the gunman is 5-feet, flinches tall, weighing 150 pounds and wearing a gray shirt and blue pants. He was wearing glasses under a brown ski mask and had a mustache, police said.
