William Razell, charged with taking a box of cigars from a down-town grocery store, was fined $100 and costs and sentenced to the penal farm foriSO days. The days were suspended oncondition that he leave the city. Judgment was withheld on an intoxication charge. Violet Halcumus. charged with her third offense of intoxication, was fined SI 00 and costs and sentenced to the woman’s prison for 60 days.The case of John James, charged with intoxication, was dismissed ana that of William Neal, charged with vagrancy, was continued until Friday. Ben Mickley, colored, charged with intoxication, was fined $5 and costs. Judgment was withheld in the case of William Nevotney, charged with adulterating foodstuffs. He is to be held until his mother can come and get him and take him to Joplin, Mo., where he intends to work.Resort Case Is Continued.The case of Lulu Brown, chargedwith running a resort, came before thecourt, but it was continued on accountof the illness of her attorney, J. P.Stunkard. Dorothy Condey, charged with a statutory offense, was fined $10 and costs and sentenced to 10 days n the woman’s prison. The days were suspended pending good behavior. The case was appealed to Circuit Court. The woman was arrested Tuesday in a raid on a resort at 431 North Third street. She said she did not live in the house, but had merely gone in to paa visit.The case of Philip Long, local attorney, who was arrested Thursday afternoon by Detectives Fedderson and Armstrong, charged with living illegally with Hazel Miller, alias Mary Grady, was continued until next Tuesday. The Gradv girl was arrested Monday night near Third street and Wabash avenue by Patrolman Rickleman who said that two men who were with the girl ran and escaped.
