Onderdonk, of River Road, had delivered to him at his farm yesterday afternoon the team of horses valued at ?400, which were stolen from him on the night of December 6. As the TIMES - has already stated the horses were found at Bridgeport, Conn. after Lhe police had made arrests of the thieves who had quarreled. Chief Harding received word of the capture of the thieves and notified Mr. Onder-! ‘£ donk last Friday. On Saturday, Mx, Onderdonk and C. S. Boice, David J. Perrine and Joha N. Smock went to Bridgeport where they found the horses in good condition. The buggy atolen from Eugene Veghte at the same time j g was also found. | aAccording to despatches from Bridgeport women took an active part in the doings of the thieves who stole the Onderdonk horses. The police of that city have made an Important capture in the arrest of Mr. and Mrs. John My-er, of Newark, N, J.. and Mr. $nd Mrs. William Hock, of Ellenville, N. Y.. who have confessed to the theft of twenty horses in New York State during the past year. They operated In many places between Poughkeepsie and Bound Brook, N. J.Maps were found In their possession showing the situation of barns in var rlous parts of New Jersey. Ttye-quar-tet drove about from town to town and posed as farmers looking fo/- property to buy.Hock and hla wife were taken to Brewster, N. Y., yesterday.
