A Kenosha man along with a Racine County buddy escaped from the Green Bay Reformatory at Green Bayearly today.Robert Dugan, 24, Kenosha, and James Dykstra, 23. of rural Caledonia Township in Racine County, escaped by sawing their way through the bars on their cell and then dropping to the ground outside Their The cellblockin which their cell was located formed the front wallCouncil meets Jan. 4The City Council will me hold its next meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 4. in the Municipal building at 7:30 p.m.of the reformatory.Assistant SuperintendentDonald Clusen of the reformatory said the men were tracked in the snow for about two blocks. The men the evidently paused before a certain house, Clusen said, before stepping out into the hard packed street. The search for the pair continued today.Clusen said the two were noticed missing by a guardat 2:30 a.m. today, four hacksaw blades were found in their empty cell. Clu3en said the blades were not of the type used in the institution.Dugan was committed to Green Bay in 1973 from Kenosha County for armed robbery and burglary. He received nine years for the robbery and another five for burglary but the sentenceswere concurrent.Dykstra was committed about the same time for offenses in Racine, Walworth and Vilas Counties His multiple sentences carried beyond the year 2000. He was sentenced for burglary, theft, armed robbery and delivery of cocaine.Clusen said he wasn’t sureprisonwhat they were dressed in. “Probably cotton khaki clothes,’’ said Clusen, “and probably they were white since one of them was a barber and the other worked in the kitchen.
