Janzen Facing ArraignmentThe FBI today was readying r third charge against Billy Dean Janzen who was arraigned here yesterday for assault on a federal officer and attempting to perpetrate a fraud by telegraph. .Ray Abbaticchio, agent in charge of the Charlotte division of the FBI, announced the 30-year-old Californian would be arraigned at Wilson in _ connection with the transportation across state lines of a $1,400 bogus check drawn on the Bank of Virginia at Portsmouth. ,This third count was drawn on complaint of federal authorities at Riverside, Cal., which Janzen lists as his home. It was drawn in the name of Grover Taylor, an alias Janzen was using at the time of his arrest here Tuesday night and the name he admits using in an account with a Riverside Bank.Janzen, unable to meet his bond, has been held by federal authorities at Wilson since his arraignment here before US Commissioner W. S. Swain yesterday. The Commissioner set Janzen’s bond at $2,00J on the telegraph fraud count and $5,000 on the assault charge. *. He pleaded not guilty to fraud but told Swain he would have to “stand mute” on the assault count. (Standing mute is taken as a plea jf not guilty.) Before the agents could talk to him, however, the FBI said the man attempted to fight his way clear of them. He was finally taken into custody after a struggled that raged for several minutes along the 400 block of SW Main St.At’ the time lie was first approached, Janzen reportedly gave his name as “Grover-Taylor.”According to the FBI, the Riverside bank account of Grover Taylor was set up earlier this month with a $100 deposit.
