(By th** Associated Press.)- a third purported attempt hy a ring of bootleggers to work vengeance upon Kenneth Sonderleiter. proprietor of a I Keosauqua Way battery shop, who vigorously opposed the wet” element during the last political campaign, was revealed yesterday at i hearing before Federal Commissioner Judson Piper.Sonderleiter, who was bound o\er to tho grand jury on charges of illegal possession and transportation of liquor, is alleged to have been the victim of a bootleggers* war.’He was attacked several months ago by a number of men and was confined to a luspital six weeks, biufcring from a fractured leg and internal injuries. The battery shop owned by Sonderleiter was bombed; about six weeks ago. A fake tele-; phone call Is said to have sent a con-signment of booze to bis battery t shop where It arrived as the city booze squad made a raid on the place.
