o ------- •Last night about 0:30 o’clock while Ponciano Guajardo, one of the city policemen, was walking his beat on the street near the convent, his pistol fell from the scabbard to the pavement and was fired, the bullet striking Guajardo in the right leg just above the knee. He walked a short distance but was obliged to stop near the residence of M. Hanson and call for help. Augustin Celaya heard and came to the wounded man*s assistance, staying with him until someone came to help him to his home, where he received medical attention. Fortunately the injury is only a flesh wound, and this morning Guajardo was resting easy.
