newCUMBERLAND — The Bureau of Prisons has announced the selection of the executive staff for the new Federal Correctional Institution here.Dennis R. Bidwell has been named as Warden of the new medium-security prison. He will be transferring from the Federal Correctional Institution in Morgantown, W.Va., where he is currently serving as warden.Named as Associate Wardens were Edward Motley, currently Detention Center Administrator in Milan, Mich., and Les Ruth, currently Associate Warden at the Federal Correctional Institution in Petersburg, Va.Mary Ann Varner, executive assistant at the Federal Correctional Institution, Morgantown,was named as the Camp Administrator, and Stephen Finger, Evaluation Specialist in the Bureau’s Central Office in Washington, D.C., was named as executive assistant.town in September 1992irganWarPrior to his movef - ,den Bidwell was stationed at the Bureau of Prisons’ Western Regional Office in Dublin, Calif., where he held the position of deputy regional director.Former positions Bidwell held with the Bureau of Prisons include associate warden, executive assistant, correctionaltreatment specialist, case man-Dennis R. Bidwellagement coordinator, and case manager. He began his careerwith the Bureau in 1975 as a Correctional Officer at the Federal Correctional Institution in Milan, Mich.Warden Bidwell is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He is a member of the American Correctional Association and the North American Association of Wardens and Superintendents.Warden Bidwell, his wife Beth, and their sons, Joe and Jim, plan to make their home in the Cumberland area.
