RHONE1IiFour Held m Jail Here for Knife StabbingLEROY FOSTER IN THE BOONECOUNTY HOSPITALSTABBED IN CHESTDURING A “PARTY** IFoster’s Condition Reported Some-what Improved Today.— Brought To Hospital Early ChristmasMorning,Stabbed in the chest during a Christmas Eve “party”. LeRoy Foster. 1419 Harrison street, was in the hospital here today in a serious clt; nditiou. His condition was reported as somewhat improved, however.He was stabbed with a pen knife 1and it was feared the blade punctured his lung. Serum to prevent lockjaw was administered the young j mail who was brought to the hospital here about 2 a.m. Christmas j day. The injured young man is the ^oii of Jerry S. Foster. He is about 2\ years of age.According to Sheriff Fred L. Wilkins, the “party” was at the Crlich Nystrom home, about 3 miles north of Boone, on the Linn street road. Hi5 clothes blood-soaked from the wound, young Foster was brought to the hospital by some of the menwho had been with him.Sheriff Wilkins made five arrests but one man was freed in order that he might he able to return to his work. Those being bold are Bob Kiddie, Bud Sprit ger. Ben Brunntng and Hugh Givens. The pen knife, the sheriff said, was found in thelatter’s pockets but Givens denied the stabbing. The other three prisoners are nun-communicative about the affair. Wilkins reported.It L expected, Wilkins said, that the men will he arraigned, the charges pending on outcome oi the wound. The knife had a blade 8bout 2 and K* inches long, the sheriff reported. It was reported Foster fold officers he was fighting with Givens when he was “stuck’*.
