CASINO.Tlic carter Letters—Da*tardl y anti Outrarcouts, Showing: the Villainy of the Author.[ayIn addition to wliat has already been published in the disgusting and disgrace ful Carter case we give below the follow ing from the Kendallville News which corroborates our statement regarding the writing of letters to the girl by Mrs Carter, and showing further by Carter’s letter to the girl during his confinement at Centreville, that he fully intended the complete desertion of his family. He sold everything ho could sell of their household goods at Kendallville, and spent tbo money on the girl ho ruined, leaving his wife and children virtually deslitutc and disgraced. The News says:We publish two letters, the one written by Mrs. Frank Carter and the other by Carter while in the Ccrtrcville jail. The Mrs Carter letter is remarkable and it is the most dastardly piece of business that ever came within our knowledge. A wife writing a letter to nssist her husband to accomplish the ruin of a young girl is certainly remarkable and unusual. ttoino may be credulous enough to disbelieve the charge, but the letter was read to her on last Saturday in Lon. I). Fleming's office at Ligonier and when it was finished the question was asked her, “Did you write it?” and her answer was, “I did. I wrote something like it.” Everyone in the oflicu was surprised as they all expected a flat denial, but when she afiilined the writing of it, it produced astonishment nud to some extent pity. The following is her letter.i Kit, In: Loni invarc of my broth ust congratulate bini seeing your picture Ilc to congratulate you ii issoeiuted yourself withi leauponnssur! relationshipif protection from the lt;no add, while tie bem i rot her to me ho has in many ways been mo ban a father to my little children.
