Fire Causes $150,000 LossiAt BrowntownBrowntown, Wis. — (AP) _Fire following a mysterious explosion early today destroyed the main building of the Browntown Silica company, causing damage, estmiated by P. W. Palmer one of the owners, at $150,000. The company -applies silica to defense industries.Two employes, Ed Gagnon and Don Buzzel, were in outlying buildings when the explosion oc-eured and were uninjured. Gagnon left the main building five minutes before the explosion. He said ha could give no reason for the blast, that he had not noticed anything out of the ordinary on his inspection, and that there was nothing in the building to cause flames to spread as rapidly as they did.The plant was reopened two years ago after being idle for some time and employed 25 men on three shifts.
