Albia Youth Charged FatherALB^IA.—A 16-year-old bia youth, who officers attacked his father, wasA.1-saidarrested at a downtown pool hall about 1:30 p.m. Saturday and charged with assault with intent to commit great bodily injury.Harry Pierson was charged in connection with the beatingof his father, Edgar Pierson, 65. The alleged altercation occurred Friday about 5:30 p.m. in the elder Pierson’s Auto Service and Machine Shop at 15 Second Avenue East. The fight broke out as the result of an argument over the family auto.Authoritiesfather hadknocked out,said the boy’s several teethreceived bruisesMonroe County Hospital.The charge against young Pierson w-as filed by John Douglas, assistant police chief. Investigating o ffi e er s s a i d Pierson had been placed on probation more than a year ago following a series of thefts here, and added that he also had been having difficulty with his probation officer.Since being taken into custody, the youth is being held in Monroe County jail under a $2,000 bond fixed by Mayor Frank J.
