Grub in company with Sparks j Vaughn, who was employed by the former who owned a trarasre in thewest end of town entered the store and accused Woods of making derogatory remarks concerning a young Rogersville voman, it is said.According to witnesses, Woods de-, nied having made any such remarks, and Grubb persisted, striking the accused in the face. Woods is said towhippedthe “Owl head” typethe counter, the bullet striking Grubbbelt,and ranging downward, lodging inthe |ack, It was said that an operation at the Greeneville hospital showed that the bulfet pierced GrubbThe weaponrange that Grubbset on fire, the blaze being extinguished by a man who was attrac tedto the scene by the sound of the shot.
