4*rThe Murrav-0’Nei|l Homicide.This trial, which was in progress on Saturday last, and had not ^been concluded, up to the time of our going to press, wasdisposed of that day, so f*r as the evidence and efforts of the counsel on both sides were concerned, but the- case did not go to the jury until the Following Monday.As We then said, the trial created con-proceedings be-l room of listeners throughout. The counsel, both for the prosecution and defense, made eloquent and able appeals? conducting case with marked ability, some of the best legal talent in th being employed, j The evidence adduced on the trial wasvoluminous and uninteresting, so much sothat our spaoe preclude^ even givingimportant part.JDuring Monday the ^ase was given v the jury, who, after being out several hours, returned a verdict of guilty o manslaughter in the second degree, and on Tuesday the Court sentenced the pria oner to a term of seven ^ears servitude ii the States prison at Wan pun.
