DALLAS — Former Rockwall High School football star Robert Woodrow “Woody’ Barnes, sought for nine months on a murder charge, and three other persons were arrested in Austin and Dallas as suspects in last week-end s abduction and robbery of a Dallas jeweler.Dallas County Sheriff Carl Thomas, accompanied by officers from the Travis County Sheriffs Department and authorities from Bergstrom Air Force Base, raided a base residence and arrested Barnes.32, on a lobbery warrant and a warrant charging him with the March 25 execution-style slaying of a Dallas man during a narcotics transaction A cousin, U.S. Air Force Sgt. Richard Allen Redrick. 29, also was arrested early Wednesday at the Austin residence and two other men, Gary Moore, 28. and Larry Girard, 28, were taken into custody at separate apartments in Dallas late in the afternoon.Justice of the Peace Tom Naylor, who issued the robbery warrants and the murder warrant, set bonds at $100,000 each for the robbery charges.
