Wounded Fairmont Youth May DieFarmington, Mo., Dec. 22.—lt;.P— Dr. Reuben Appleberry said yesterday the condition of Delmar Rooney, shot in what police said was an ^attempted holdup at Bismarck, Mo., was “not very good” and he doubted if the 20 year-old Fairmont, Minn., youth would live.A bullet, fired by Omer Ragan, Bismarck druggist, penetrated Rooney’s chest and passed through the top of his right lung. He was brought to a hospital at Bonne Terre, Mo.Rooney’s companion, Robert Burdick. 20, also of Fairmont, was shot to death by Ragan in the attempted jholdup Friday midnight. Both were j married and had left their wives at Hot Springs, Ark.
