Crane .sent two Oshkosh men tn the Wisconsin State Reformatory in Green Ba\ this morning.Sentenced were Bert Farr. 19. last address lifted as 822 Otter Ave., and Thomas Shew. 22. 533 Pearl AxeFarry receded a four-year term for two church burglaries in Oshkosh on May 17 and IS. Thev are First Assemblv of God Church. 1325 Elmwood Ave.. and Temple B'nai Israel. II21 Aigoma Bhd.Farry had earlier pleaded no contest to the charges Xov. 22 and Crane based his sentencing on a presentence report that was filed today.Farry was also charged with 12 other breaking in August and September of this year. The breakins involvedchurches and businesses in Oshkosh.Shew, who received a three-vear term, was charged with battering a state witness. Bruce A. Potratz, Oshkosh, on Sent. 20. Ironicailv. the man ■ **Shew was trung to protect was acquitted earlier this week by a 12-member jury in Circuit Court Branch 2.Potratz was the stale's key witness in attempting to link a stolen television set he purchased for SI50 to August F. Oesterreich. 24. Oshkosh.Shortly after Oesterreich was arrested. Shew and two other men went to Pntratz's former home on West Ninth A\enue where Shew began to beat up Potratz for helping police make the arrest of Oesterreich.
