Son sues wealthy father for $3 million for sexual abuseCONCORD (AP) — A 21-year-old Nashua man is suing his millionnaire father for $3 million in federal court on charges he was sexually abused for 12 years.Daniel Raymond Ford says his father, Daniel Eugene Ford, a former Laconia businessman and state official, sexually assaulted him when he was 5 years old until he was 17.The elder Ford lives in St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands.No response to the lawsuit has been filed, and no one answered a telephone call yesterday morning to the numberlisted for Daniel Eugene Ford.The younger Ford claims in the suit, filed last month, that his father “negligently, intentionally and recklessly inflicted great emotional distress and psychological injury upon the plaintiff. The defendant’s actions caused and continue to cause great emotional, mental and psychological distress and injury to the plaintiff.”Daniel Eugene Ford was the president of the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Laconia and Concord. He also was a director of the Indian Head Bank and a member of the state Alcohol and Drug Commission before retiring in1977.
