Fourscapees From CountyCaptured in Four Hours at LovingtonHOBBS — Fou'* prisoners who escaped from the county jail at Lovington Wednesday by grabbing the night jailer when he opened a cell door to hand them mops and buckets, were recaptured hours later. One was retaken about an hour and a half after his escape. The other three were captured at 10 a.m. in Lovington, three hours after they had fled.James H. Jackson, 39. f f Hobbs, was recaptured by Capt. Herbert Cunningham of the Lovington police department. Details of his capture were sketchy because Cun-ningham returned to the hunt for the other' three and could not he reached. However, sheriff’s officials said radio reports from the field indicated that Jackson wastaken while hiding ir a barn, probably in the southwestern part of Lovington.Jackson, whose home is at 105 East Cypsy in Hobbs, was held on two counts; obtaining money or property with intent to cheat or dlt;*fraud. and breaking and entering.
